Salisbury Rick has been the dog control officer of North Tonawanda for several years and has done an incredible job of rescuing abused dogs and helping to reunite lost dogs with their grateful owners. Such a good job, in fact, that North Tonawanda residents rallied for the city to grant him more hours to assist even more animals.

A job like this is not for the faint of heart as sometimes you have to see things no one would ever want to. But still, Rick using very little resources is there in our community helping animals when they need him the most. That’s why we are asking for your support to enable Rick to give even more to abused, abandoned and lost dogs in NT.

Rescuing animals requires slip leads, collars, dog treats, toys, bedding, cages for the truck to keep the animals in and more. Rick could also use a reflective safety truck wrap when he’s out at night or in bad weather conditions so he is easily spotted.

Just recently Rick rescued an elderly dog and two cats who were abandoned in their home after receiving a tip from a concerned citizen. Rick’s positive reputation in the community is the reason why so many dogs are helped because people trust him to do the right thing. Now we need to do the right thing and support Rick with the supplies he needs to ensure every dog in North Tonawanda is taken care of.
