At approximately 1:26 p.m. today, Niagara Falls Police responded to the City Market at 18th Street and Pine Avenue regarding a stolen vehicle.

Officers located the vehicle parked in the lot with two males inside. Officers approached the car on foot in an attempt to make contact with the occupants. In an effort to escape, the stolen vehicle then began ramming the police cars parked in front of it.

The vehicle fled at a high-speed, eventually crashing into another car at Pine Avenue and Portage Road. The driver of the other vehicle suffered a minor injury. Both occupants then fled the stolen vehicle on foot, and both were captured after a brief foot chase.

The matter is still under investigation and charges are pending against the two males involved, both from Buffalo.
