The temperatures outside are soaring, so too are sales at area ice cream shops.
At Jamie’s on Nash Road, workers say business this past week has been brisk.
They say when the mercury rises there is no better way to cool off that with some cold ice cream.
“It has been pretty busy,” said Victoria Zanatian, a server at the ice cream shop.
“It definitely picks up during the summer time. Our pizza place gets busy when it’s cool and our ice cream sales go through the roof when it’s warm. I think people are just craving ice cream during this hot weather. Not to mention, it’s a good excuse to come outside and get some fresh air.”
