Desmond Zimmerman, 25, was shot to death early Saturday morning at 4th and Niagara Street, around the corner from the so-called Niagara Falls 3rd Street Tourist District.
The Reporter exclusively discloses here, not reported by any other media outlet, that after both involved parties transported themselves to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, a gun was confiscated on hospital grounds. Apparently, one of the two antagonists was set on finishing what had been started.
Desmond Zimmerman, aka “Popout SG,” was a well-known and universally liked and admired member of the community, resulting in outpourings of grief, disbelief and expressions of sympathy to the family on social media. In addition, a balloon release took place today in memory of the slain man, the 8th homicide in the city of Niagara Falls over 8 months this year.
