Between February, 2020, and February, 2021, there have been 20 homicides in Niagara Falls. With a population of roughly 48,000, the murder rate for this one year period is among the top five in the United States.

Here are the names of those that have died:

2020

1. Christopher O’ Neill Pizarro, 3 years old, blunt force trauma to the head. North Avenue, February 15th, 2020.

2. Brian Harris, 3100 block of 9th Street, May 7th, 2020.

3. Sonia Hamilton, 3100 block of 9th Street, May 7th, 2020.

4. Maurice Hill, 3100 block of 9th Street, June 21st, 2020.

5. Kenneth Mitchell, Walnut Avenue and 5th Street, July 5th, 2020.

6. Jonathan Joseph, 17th street and Pierce Avenue, July 21st, 2020.

7. Nathan Craft, 12th Street and Ferry Avenue, July 22nd, 2020.

8. Mariah Sade Wilson, 17th street and Lasalle Avenue September 3rd/4th, 2020.

9. Clyde Coleman III, behind Red House on Highland Avenue, September 12th to September 14th, 2020.

10. Frank Walker, 2032 Pine Avenue Diamonds, September 25th, 2020.

11. Shakiya Boyce, 20th Street and Centre Avenue, September 29th, 2020.

12. William Harrison (69 years old), Niagara Towers, 901 Cedar Avenue.

13. Kenny Walasak, Packard Court, November 16th, 2020.

14 . John Bruso (18 years old), 19th Street and Welch Avenue, Tuesday December 1st, 2020.

15. Thomas James Anderson (49 years old), 600 block of 20th Street, December 15th, 2020.
