Niagara Falls Police responded to the 1600 block of 13th Street around 1000 hours on Friday, March 12th, 2021, after reports of an argument.

Upon arriving at the scene, police spoke with the owner of the property who stated that he is attempting to side the exterior but a tenant is making it nearly impossible to do so as there is garbage, junk and misc. debris piled all around the residence. The owner further stated that any time he would move a piece of junk off the porch or side of the house the tenant would come out screaming at him.

On the latest occasion, the owner stated that the tenant spit on him. Police then attempted to speak with the tenant and, after knocking and the tenant answering the door, the tenant began to scream profanities through a “dirty makeshift screen.”

At one point, the tenant screamed “if he touches that bin [on the porch], there’s going to be big problems. There is fifty thousand dollars worth of stuff in there.” The tenant did not follow police direction when they advised him to bring said bin into his home.

The owner stated that he would continue siding the house until it was finished and wait for evictions to begin again in New York State so that he can finish the remodel with no problems.
