Niagara Falls Police responded to the 3500 block of Ferry Avenue around 0150 hours on Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021, after reports of a burglary. Upon arriving at the scene, police spoke with the complainant who stated that while she and her son were at a relative’s house between 4:00pm and 10:00pm someone came into their home and stole multiple items. The complainant believes that the unknown suspect gained entry to the home by breaking a window on her back door. Among the items stolen were a box of garbage bags, multiple bars of dove soap, an unknown amount of costume jewelry, beard trimmers, a pair of sneakers, and a white Versace belt. Police observed the home to be in “disarray.” Police also noted that the complainant’s story changed multiple times, that she waited three hours to call the police, and that there was no significant physical evidence found at the scene. No further information is available at this time.
