Spring will be here soon, and with it a flood of great seasonal job opportunities. The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) is looking to get started early by filling a wide variety of seasonal campsite jobs, including caretakers, maintenance staff, lifeguards, and more.

Most of these jobs open during the summer months and are at campgrounds in the Adirondack Mountains and Catskill Forest Preserves. Summer Recreation operates 52 public campgrounds and 5-day use areas throughout the Adirondack and Catskill Parks. Over 600 seasonal employees are employed to provide varied services throughout the summer season.

For more information about seasonal employment and to apply, visit DEC’s Summer Recreation webpage.
