Car owners from Buffalo, Pennsylvania, Canada and beyond came out to attend a classic car show in North Tonawanda during the ‘Thunder on the Niagara’ boat show this past weekend. The event was called ‘Rumble at the Niagara,’ and boy was the air vibrating once those engines started to rev.

Rare and vintage cars were on display at Gratwick Riverside Park. Buffalo Motorama hosted the classic car show that brought more than 500 unique and one-of-a-kind automobiles out for a day in the sun.

Organizers said there is a little something for everyone to enjoy.

“We have classics, late models, hotrods, and more,” said Joe Habiszewski, Event Organizer. “It is a community of people that like to come together and share their love for cars.”

One of the car owners was Raymond Gajkowski who arrived with his 1987 Monte Carlo. He says the classic cars are fun to look at but a little bit tough to drive.

“They do not drive exactly like the new cars,” said Gajowski. “The new cars have the back up camera’s, automatic breaking. When you get into one of these you have to be careful and re-adjust your driving habits because we didn’t have those luxuries back in the day.”
