Niagara Falls Mayor Robert M. Restaino released a video on April 3rd, 2020, addressing the rising number of COVID-19 cases throughout the city.

In the video, Mayor Restaino admonishes city residents who think that this is all a “joke.”

“Social distancing is not just a convenient suggestion,” said Restaino. “It is a matter of life and death in some circumstances.”

Mayor Restaino asked for all city residents – young and old – to adhere to social distancing guidelines.

“Parents, you need to be communicating this,” said Restaino. “This isn’t an option. This is important. It is important to not only you and your family, but it is important to your friends. It is important to your extended family, and it is critically important to this community.”
