On Friday, June 5th, 2020, more than 200 individuals gathered for a peaceful demonstration to protest police brutality in Niagara Falls. The group was joined by elected officials such as Mayor Robert M. Restaino, Councilman Touma, Councilman Tompkins, and Councilman Kennedy. Niagara County Sheriff Michael Filicetti and Niagara Falls Police Chief Tom Licata were also present. The demonstrators marched more than a mile and a half from Hyde Park to the police station on Main Street.
