On November 22, 2020 at approximately 12:45 pm, a marked Niagara Falls Police vehicle was involved in a collision on Buffalo Avenue near the entrance to Interstate 190.

The police vehicle slid into the rear of a 2009 Ford that was stopped at the light, heading west on Buffalo Avenue.

The driver of the Ford, a 46-year-old Niagara Falls man, initially refused medical attention; however, later opted to be evaluated at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. He was transported there by ambulance. The driver of the police vehicle was not injured.

The Crash Management team is continuing the investigation.
