The Niagara Action reported on Saturday, February 13th, 2021, and the Niagara Reporter has since confirmed, the passing of Mari Posa.

Posa, who owned and operated Mariposa’s World Famous Submarine Sandwiches for nearly sixty years, was a giant of the Niagara community and her work ethic an inspiration to many.

After news of her passing hit social media, hundreds of residents shared their condolences and reminisced about their interactions with Posa.

She will be missed.
