Infected Teacher Comes into Contact with 58 Students; Causes Maple Avenue School to Close in Niagara Falls

The Niagara Reporter has confirmed that the infected individual with COVID-19 at Maple Avenue Elementary School is a teacher who was in contact with five classrooms totaling 58 students.

According to the district, this teacher was also in contact with at least eight other teachers.

The confirmed case has caused Superintendent Mark Laurrie to close the school until further notice.
