Former Niagara County Sheriff Jim Voutour, who served in the position for multiple terms with support across all party lines, released a statement supporting Caroline Wojtaszek earlier this week.

“I have enjoyed bipartisan support from all political parties because of my desire to work hard for all residents of Niagara County. As District Attorney, Caroline Wojtaszek has that same desire to work hard for every resident regardless of political affiliation, race, or socio-economic status.”

“Prior to my retirement, Caroline and I worked closely on numerous initiatives after she was elected as District Attorney in 2017. The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office could rely on Caroline as a trusted partner in any endeavor.”

“Caroline leads by example and empowers those around her to be the best that they can be. Her leadership and ideas for innovation have resulted in the Niagara County District Attorney’s Office being over of the most respected in New York State.”

“Caroline’s experience working as a law clerk to Judge Sheldon and as the District Attorney has given her the necessary training to be an outstanding Niagara County Court Judge.”

“Since being elected as the first female District Attorney in Niagara County, Carline presided over the prosecution of over 10,000 cases. This includes over 5,000 felonies and 900 violent felonies. More impressive, however, is that Caroline has personally tried over 30 felony jury cases throughout her career.”

“Caroline Wojtaszek was the right choice for District Attorney four years ago and she is the right choice for County Court Judge now. I hope that you join me in voting for her on June 23rd, 2020.”

Former Sheriff Voutour joins notable elected officials Senator Rob Ortt, Assemblyman Mike Norris, Assemblyman Angelo Morinello, Chairwoman of the Niagara County Legislature Becky Wydysh, Niagara County Clerk Joseph Jastrzemski, and Mayor Robert M. Restaino of Niagara Falls supporting Wojtaszek in her bid for County Court Judge.

Wojtaszek has also gained the endorsements from the Niagara County Republican Party, Niagara County Conservative Party, Niagara County Independence Party and Niagara County Libertarian Party.
