First Positive Coronavirus Case in Niagara County Comes from Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center

The Niagara County Health Department confirmed in a statement this evening that Niagara County has had a positive case of the Coronavirus.

The statement is below:

This afternoon the Niagara County Health Department was notified of the county’s first positive test for COVID-19.  All of our protocols are now underway.  We are well aware that the community will have many questions.   We will hold a press conference tomorrow at 10 a.m. where we will attempt to provide answers to those questions.

The Niagara Reporter further learned that the positive test for the Coronavirus was from the Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. The individual who tested positive is a 40-year-old woman who was hospitalized at the medical center this week.
