Unanimous vote sends registration fee to be on the NFPD’s Tow List from $150 per year to $1,000; adds additional $25 fee per tow paid to the city

 

At a meeting held on April 25th, the Niagara Falls City Council voted 5-0 in favor of increasing the fee tow trucks pay to be on the Niagara Falls Police Department’s official tow list’ from $150 per year to $1,000.

Niagara Falls Police Chief DalPorto, in a prepared statement prior to the vote, voiced his support for the increase. In particular, Chief DalPorto stated that the increased revenue would be a help to the city.
