DiCamillos Bakery announced on Saturday, November 28th, 2020, via social media that their last surviving founding member, Angelica DiCamillo, passed away on Wednesday, November 25th, 2020.

The full message released by DiCamillos is below:

On November 25th at the age of 97, the Di Camillo Family Bakery said goodbye to the last surviving member of our founding generation. Angelica DiCamillo, was a woman of great style and a larger than life presence in our Linwood Avenue and 20th street stores, where she served as manager as recently as 2016.

In addition, she was a driving force and unforgettable presence as part of our national sales team which crossed the country at the International Fancy Food Shows for over 20 years. Her impact on the proper development of our clerks and associates can never be understated. The passion she brought to the business her father founded, the love she shared with her extended family and many friends, and her belief that “the customer is always right” was an inspiration for all.
