Data Released by NYS Shows 21.6% of Those Tested in Niagara County Are Positive for COVID-19

Data released by the New York State Department of Health has provided new information on the number of individuals tested for COVID-19 in Niagara County. Up to this point, the only information available was the number of positive cases which was 103 as of Friday, April 3rd, 2020.

According to the New York State Department of Health, 475 residents of Niagara County received testing for COVID-19 as of Sunday, April 5th, 2020. The total population of Niagara County is 211,328 (2018). Once again, the total number of positive cases in Niagara County was 103 as of Friday. This means that 21.6% of the individuals tested in Niagara County have been positive for COVID-19.

 

 

The number of positive COVID-19 cases has grown each day in Niagara County over the past week and the Department of Health expects this trend to continue as more individuals are tested. Niagara County is expected to update their tracking system for any new positive cases of COVID-19 on Monday, April 6th, 2020.
