Members of the Niagara Falls Fire Department responded to three structure fires on the 1800 block of Niagara Street in the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 7th, 2020.

According to first responders, it is believed at least one of the fires started as a result of fireworks being set off inside. That fire then spread to surrounding buildings.

It took hours for first responders to battle the fires and safely put them out.

Fire Chief Joseph Pedulla.

Niagara Falls Fire Chief Joseph Pedulla, in a statement earlier today, confirmed that a body was recovered behind one of the buildings.

Law enforcement and fire department officials are unable to identify the body at this time.

We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
