Elizabeth Donatello, a former Niagara County prosecutor in charge of the Special Victims Unit in the district attorney’s office, will be featured on Saturday, May 11, in a book signing event for charity on the patio at the Como Deli, 555 Center St., in Lewiston from 11 a. m. until 3 p. m.
Ms. Donatello and Neera Gulati, the mother of a young man suffering from the rare genetic disease Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, will be selling the book “Women in the City of Good Neighbors,” featuring 42 of the area’s most accomplished women, in an effort to raise money for research to fight the deadly disease.
The colorful and beautifully written book is ideal for coffee table display and can be purchased for $40 with all of the proceeds going to the Suneel’s Light Foundation which was created with the sole purpose of fighting the disease.
This reporter will be on hand to help answer any questions folks might have about Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and the efforts of the Suneel Foundation to raise money to help find a cure.
