Six-year-old Charlotte Johnson recently went on a trip with her family to California where they visited the Pacific Marine Mammal Center (PMMC). There, Charlotte learned that one of the seals at the Aquarium of Niagara, Lumiere, was rescued and rehabilitated at PMMC.

She was inspired by his rescue story and decided to dedicate her birthday to fundraising for the Aquarium of Niagara; the place that gave Lumiere his forever home.

The Aquarium of Niagara will welcome 6-year-old Charlotte Johnson of Buffalo to the Aquarium for a private tour and special presentation on Wednesday, July 22nd, 2020. Charlotte recently celebrated her birthday and she asked for people to make donations to the Aquarium of Niagara instead of gifting her presents. In total, Charlotte raised $750 for the Aquarium.

Charlotte will be greeted by our executive director and given a behind-the-scenes tour of the Aquarium before going out onto exhibit during a seal feeding. She will then experience a special interaction with a sea lion and a trainer who will be working with the sea lion through the window of our main pool.
