Most children on their birthday want a birthday party filled with their friends and family, but one local 9-year-old girl is hoping to spend her birthday this year a different way.

Peyton, who turned 9-years-old on June 17th, is hoping to celebrate her birthday on June 28th with a GIANT cleanup of her neighborhood and the Niagara Falls Community.

Her mother, Shandra, told the Reporter, “Peyton would like everyone to bring a pair of gloves, come grab a goodie bag, which will include gloves, a large garbage bad, a small garbage bag, a pair of gloves, and a little note/treat) and walk around our little neighborhood, or yours, in addition to the Hyde Park Baseball Diamonds to pick up garbage and help make our community beautiful again!”

According to her mother, Peyton, who is going to be a 4th grader in the enrichment program at Abate Elementary School in Niagara Falls this fall, came up with the idea all on her own.

“She wants to make everyone proud of this community,” said her mother.

There will be freeze pops, a slip and slide, and light refreshments. Shandra asks everyone who participates to post photos of you cleaning on social media with the hashtag #PeytonsPartyPickup.

The event will be held from 2:00pm to 5:00pm and will meet at 2729 Willow Ave Niagara Falls, New York 14305.
