477 New Positive COVID-19 Cases and 4 Deaths Reported in Niagara County on Tuesday, January 5th, 2021

The Niagara County Department of Health issued the following update on positive COVID-19 cases in Niagara County:

We regretfully report the deaths of four Niagara County residents.  We extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of these individuals.

The rest of the update is as follows:

  • 477 new positive cases (* there was some reporting lag from the holiday weekend)
  • Total of 9427 positives to date (isolations + recoveries + deaths)
  • 1877 active cases (1855 isolating at home, 22 in hospital)
  • 7408 recovered
  • 142 deaths
  • 231,185 tests of Niagara County residents (https://covid19tracker.health.ny.gov/)
