The child that was struck by a vehicle at 7219 Rapids Road on November 10th, 2020, has succumb to her injuries and died at Oishei Children’s Hospital. According to family, her remaining hours were spent on life support so that her organs could be donated to people in need.

Three organ donations were made in total. One kidney was given to an individual in Buffalo. A kidney and pancreas was donated to another individual in Buffalo. A liver was donated to an individual in Michigan.

Her grandmother started a GoFundMe page to assist with funeral expenses which has already raised twice the amount of money originally requested.

“Mackenzie is my granddaughter,” wrote Lucy Stamp. “She is 11-years-old and was hit by a car yesterday suffer[ing] severe brain damage. I am asking for help on behalf of my daughter, Jenn Woods. No one expects or plans for something like this.”

The family posted a message thanking everyone for their support.

“My daughter and I want all of you to know how much we appreciate each and every donation,” wrote Stamp.” “Your donations have given us peace of mind knowing that Kenzie can have a proper funeral.”
