WEBR to Launch Katie Daye Show on Monday

There is much excitement in the airwaves at WEBR The Breeze as station manager and program director Frank Miller has announced that beginning on Monday, Aug. 24, the talent he has been hoping to bring in for some time will be joining the WEBR midday lineup from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every weekday.

“We’re just thrilled to be launching the Kadie Daye show on Monday, and we are so looking forward to having a talent like Kadie on our airwaves at WEBR AM 1440, FM 105.3 and FM 106.9,” Miller said in talking about the new addition to the station lineup.

“Kadie used to be part of the WYRK morning show a couple of years ago, and she was let go in a round of budget cuts,” said Miller. “We actually interviewed her for a position here, but she ended up moving back to Indiana and is now syndicating her show nationally. We will now be carrying her show every day from 10 to 2 and couldn’t be happier, and we will work to localize the show.”

Miller said that not only will Kadie bring a much-needed female voice to the regular hosting lineup “but her youthful energy and enthusiasm will help bring younger listeners and an energy to midday that I think will enhance our overall presentation greatly, and position the station to grow in the future.”

The station manager added that in addition to being known locally in the market, she also has received national acclaim and was also the winner of NYS Broadcasters Awards for “best personality.”

Miller said, “I also know that Kadie and her crew are ecstatic about being back in the Buffalo market, and we are certainly very excited, too.”
