Niagara Falls Police responded to the area of 20th Street / Niagara Street around 0600 hours on Saturday, March 13th, 2021, for an assault. An anonymous caller had stated that there was a white male bleeding from the face and screaming.

Upon arriving at the scene, police observed the white male laying on the sidewalk. He was conscious but was bleeding from the head and face with numerous lacerations to his forehead. Police believed the lacerations were caused by a bladed object.

The victim told police that he was walking home from the casino when an unknown black male approached him and asked him for a cigarette which he refused. The victim them stated the male began to attack him until he was bleeding profusely and on the ground. The suspect threw him a rag for the blood and then ran away.

The suspect is described as being in his 20’s, about 5’11” with a medium build. He was wearing all black and had a COVID mask on his face. The victim was transported to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for treatment.
