In a year filled with challenges, it is even more important to recognize moments that make life special.

This Christmas was different for Stephanie Snyder, of Niagara Falls, who is pregnant with her first child. Not only does Stephanie have to protect her unborn baby from exposure to COVID-19, but this is the first Christmas that she would spend apart from her sister, Abigail Snyder, who is in the Navy and stationed at the Great Lakes Naval Station.

Unbeknownst to Stephanie, Abigail made a surprise trip to Niagara Falls on Friday, December 11th, 2020, to spend the holidays with her family.

Stephanie has no idea as Abigail knocks on the door and she answers. Stephanie’s eyes are immediately filled with tears as her sister, and best friend, has returned home.

“This is the best Christmas present I could have asked for,” said Stephanie.
