CITY OF NIAGARA FALLS POLICE DEPARTMENT PRESS RELEASE:

On July 4, 2020, the Niagara Falls Police Crash Management Unit responded to Hyde Park Boulevard and Porter Road to investigate a complaint of a vehicle crashing into a residence.

A 2009 Dodge Avenger, driving west on Porter Rd, continued straight across Hyde Park Blvd. and struck the porch of the house at 2010 Hyde Park Blvd.

One rear seat passenger, a 27-year-old Niagara Falls woman, was transported to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the vehicle, a 24-year-old woman from Niagara Falls, was extricated from the vehicle by the Niagara Falls Fire Department.

She was transported by ambulance to ECMC for treatment. Two other female passengers were also transported to ECMC. They are all in stable condition.

The Crash Management team is continuing the investigation and charges are pending.
