Young girls across North Tonawanda are learning about the importance of giving back and over the weekend took part in the annual Christmas pageant.
They completed in contests like best Christmas wear, photogenetic, and beauty wear. Registration was $30 and the girls had to bring a new unwrapped toy or stocking stuffer. With the donations going to Toys for Tots.
Organizers say the event not only focuses on the girl’s outer beauty but inner beauty and showcasing the importance of helping those who need it the most.
“It teaches the girls about charity, helping other and the importance of giving back and not just thinking about themselves but thinking about others,” said Cathy Warriner, Event Organizer.
