In an effort to attract more young people to the game of golf, the Niagara County Golf Course today announced that golfers who purchase a single round of golf can bring one child 17 years of age of younger to play with them for free. This promotion is offered after 12:00 p.m. on weekends, only during non-school hours during the week, and will last through the end of September. Tee times must be scheduled in advance and are subject to availability.
“We have run a first tee program for young gofers in recent years and are always looking for ways to promote the sport and promote the Niagara County Golf Course as the quality venue it is,” said Legislator Will Collins, Chairman of the county’s Infrastructure Committee which oversees the course. “We also know budgets are tight for many people, so hopefully this promotion makes it more affordable for adults to enjoy a round of golf with their children, grandchildren and so on.”
Collins said the county course also offers youth lessons for those who may be completely new to the sport. For information on golf programs and promotions, call the Pro Shop at (716) 439-7954.
