Niagara County COVID-19 Update for Friday, July 31st, 2020

The Niagara County Department of Health issued the following update on positive COVID-19 cases in Niagara County:

  • 9 new positive cases
  • Total of 1438 positives to date (isolations + recoveries + deaths)
  • 37 active cases (33 isolating at home, 4 in hospital)
  • 1303 recovered
  • 98 deaths
  • 52,110 people tested (source: https://covid19tracker.health.ny.gov/ )

Quarantines, unlike isolations, are for people who are well and not showing symptoms, but may have been exposed to the virus.  Right now, 72 people are in quarantine and 1430 have completed quarantine.
