The Mental Health Association in Niagara County (MHA) will be having a volunteer recruitment event on Saturday, May 20th from noon to 6pm at The Ship Bar Grill, 5612 Tonawanda Creek Road, Lockport, NY 14094.
There will be food and drink specials all afternoon, giveaways, as well as DJ Rosario playing music at the event.
The MHA’s Compeer Niagara Program is a volunteer-driven program and is looking to bring more volunteers into its program to support individuals with a mental health diagnosis.
“Volunteering for our Compeer Niagara Program may be the easiest and most fun local volunteer opportunity there is. All we ask of our volunteers is to get together with the person they are matched with and get out and do cool, fun, social, and/or educational activities with
them once in a while.”, says the agency’s Executive Director, Daniel Colpoys.
The Mission of The Mental Health Association in Niagara County, Inc. to promote mental wellness by sponsoring and implementing advocacy, education, and community service programs.
