Batavia Downs Gaming may be in the midst of a leadership change, but the numbers being rung up by the current leadership team continue to set incredible numbers with August ringing up $107.3 million, topping the previous best month by more than $4 million.
To be exact, the August take was$107,312,354 with the net win of nearly $8.3-million beating the previous best month by a staggering $400,000. And Sunday, Sept. 1 started with the fifth best take day ever of nearly $5.2 million and the best win day with $433,758, topping the previous best by $12,000.
Lots of reasons help explain the extraordinary numbers, namely the final three concert series events alongside an indoor concert and very strong live racing attendance. There were also a number of private events in the Batavia Downs banquet rooms which of course delivered more folks to the gaming floor.
With strong customer service, many ways to win a dollar, and extremely good food available in the many restaurants at Batavia Downs, it is pretty much a can’t miss venue.
The Sunday record in part can be credited to many giveaways on the gaming floor that helped increase attendance before the Labor Day holiday.
In short, the public benefit corporation under the leadership of the outgoing team led by Henry Wojtaszek, continues to set records in money in, helping to deliver important dollars to the 15 counties and two cities that make up the corporation.
Those dollars are important resources to those communities and help them reduce the tax burden to their constituents. A win for all involved.
