Another Record-Breaking Return at Batavia Downs

By Tony Farina

Chairman and CEO Henry Wojtaszek announced on Tuesday that it was another record week and weekend at Batavia Downs Gaming, fueled by a suite-stakes promotion where hockey and concert tickets were given away, gift card drawings on Saturday night, and the Legends and Stars Sports Collectors Expo on Saturday and Sunday that featured many true legends and stars, too many to name in one sentence.

The numbers, as usual, are incredible with 25,414,988 credits played for the week, the best week ever, and the second best net win week at $1,871,544, with Friday the third best credits day ever.  A lot of big numbers, to be sure, and in keeping with the record-breaking returns at Batavia Downs that continue to climb higher and higher.

“We are so appreciative that in a region with so many entertainment options, people are choosing to visit Batavia Downs in record numbers,” said Wojtaszek.  “To say thank you to our patrons for helping us reach these unprecedented levels, we are going to do a special promotion on Sunday, March 3, and do a special drawing at 8:30 p.m. for $2,000 in cash and a pair of tickets to the highly anticipated Zach Bryan concert in our suite at Key Bank Center on March 10.”

Batavia Downs with its 84-room hotel, restaurants, gaming floor, and horse racing, has become a true entertainment destination for many in the entire region and prides itself in giving patrons a warm welcome, good food, and top notch service. Much to see in the coming weeks and of course, the triple crown of horse facing is on the horizon beginning with the Kentucky Derby on May 4, broadcast from Churchill Downs.
