Joanna Jo Romano has the right idea anyway. “We’ll do it on our own!”
After suffering a disappointment, she came to realize that the people do not need taxpayer–funded Holly Trolleys to deliver a government paid-for Santa Claus.
Christmas is not dependent on government.
But people have become so dependent on government – sort of a perpetual beggar mentality state that makes them slaves;’ today they even expect the mayor to deliver Santa Claus for their children.
It’s time for the people themselves to take care of their own Christmas, and New Year’s and most importantly Independence Day.
Romano says next year they will get the people together and provide for their own children with their own Santa and much more.
Hats off to Romano. She dried the tears of the children’s eyes when the government Santa did not appear.
Sometimes it is through disappointment that our best resolve comes. The nation needs a rebirth of freedom. And freedom has a responsibility too. It is a two-way street.
We must reject the golden chains of charity of government because it is not charity given by the true givers. The givers are the taxpayers.
Next year Santa – the symbol of giving - will be bringing the gift of self-reliance and do it yourself spunk. If you want it done, don’t look to the mayor the governor, the president.
Be free.
If there was a Santa Claus – would he look for government subsidies to make his toys at the North Pole? No, he’s a giver not a taker.
Do it yourself. Like Joanna Romano.
And Santa himself.
