NEXT YEAR'S TOURS

August 26, 2014

The new boats planned for next year will cost over $2 million each.

State of the art, with theater seating, they will be 45' long and 14' wide and carry 52 passengers.

Designed similarly to new US Coast Guard Rescue Cutter vessels, they will have four independent Cadillac supercharged 550 HP engines with separate circuitry.

The boat will be self-righting and will safely seal and contain passengers, who will ride through the rapids with views through large windows and ceiling windows allowing passengers to view the natural wonder of the lower Niagara River.

For those that love hi-tech, there will be monitors showing location, depth, and other navigational information. The observation deck will be 20 feet long and 14' wide with bench seating surrounding the deck for viewing, while we join Maid-of-the-Mist and Hornblower in circling the base of the Falls, before the exciting ride down the rapids to Whirlpool, then Devil's Hole before continuing to the launch facility in Youngstown, NY where the tour began.

The tour will take about two hours.
