PRESS RELEASE: The LaSalle High School Alumni Association and LaSalle Preparatory School (LPS) cordially invite the media/press to attend and cover our Annual Golden Alumni Breakfast on Wednesday May 22nd from 9-11am. This event celebrates LaSalle High School alumni aged 80 and above, providing them with an opportunity to reminisce and share their life stories. The LPS students will participate by serving and entertaining the honored guests as members of the school chorus.
For the past 7 years, the LaSalle High School Alumni Association has supported LPS by adopting families for Christmas, sponsoring students to attend field trips and assisting in end-of year student activities. A check for these activities will be presented to the LPS principal during this year’s breakfast.
Additionally, for the first time, the Alumni Association will award two $1000 college scholarships for the 2024-25 school year. These scholarships are available to anyone who attended or related to someone who attended a LaSalle school and is a dedicated community volunteer. Out of nine impressive applications, two outstanding young women have been selected to receive the scholarships. They will be honored with Scholarship Certificates at the breakfast.
We encourage the other inspiring applicants to reapply and anyone meeting the scholarship criteria to apply next year. More information about our scholarships, membership and alumni events may be found on our website; lasallealumni.org.
