“Today the Legislature met for joint session for a vote to appoint Barbara Underwood as acting attorney general until January,” said Morinello. “This vote represents a win for transparency and the democratic process, and I’m pleased voters will have the opportunity to decide on their next attorney general in the fall. Underwood’s work as solicitor general has given her the knowledge and experience to take on this role and I’m confident she will use her position to help our state in a just and nonpartisan way.”
