Newfane-based author Diana Tuorto will host a children’s craft and book signing at Artisan Alley (2714 Main Street, Newfane) during Small Business Saturday on November 26th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The store will also have live music from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

While supplies last, stop by to create a FREE unicorn craft! Decorate your unicorn drawing with gems, pom poms and more.

Buy a copy of Diana’s picture book, How Angel Horses Become Unicorns, or two copies of Diana’s other titles to get a FREE 6″ plush unicorn, while supplies last.

How Angel Horses Become Unicorns was selected as a Finalist in the 2022 Independent Author Network Book of the Year Children’s Fiction Illustrated category.

Diana’s books recently won Honorable Mentions in the Purple Dragonfly Awards, in addition to Story Monsters Approved! awards and honors at the 2021 EQUUS Film and Arts Festival.

Most of Diana’s books are written from a horse’s point of view. Her books range from an illustrated picture book (ages 4-7+) and easy reader (5-8+) to three middle grade novels (8-12+).

A portion of Diana’s book proceeds benefit several equine charities and rescues.

By Tony Farina I’ve covered many court proceedings and trials in my more than 35 years as a newspaper and television reporter and I want to make the point at the beginning of this story that whether elected or appointed, some judges are fair and honest and many others fall short of the mark. In other words, the word jurist does not convey skill and knowledge of the law; it is just a role that some serve with distinction, and others do not. By definition, a jurist is a person who has expert or thorough knowledge of the law but
