THE ACTION: Industrial Accident at XPO Logistics Leaves Two Workers Dead

On this date, at 1:26am, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Communication Center received a 911 call from XPO Logistics, 4890 IDA Park Drive, Town of Lockport.

The caller reported that two employees were trapped under fallen slabs of Corian.

Upon arrival of patrol and the fire department, it was observed that two male employees were deceased at the scene.

Preliminary investigation reveals that 11 slabs of Corian, each weighing approximately 800 pounds were being unloaded off of a trailer when they collapsed on the workers.

Identification of victims is being withheld at this time.

The investigation continuing.
