Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center has named Jacqueline DeCarlo director of quality management.
DeCarlo holds an Executive Master of Business Administration degree from Medaille College and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from D'Youville College. She is a Niagara County Community College graduate.
A New York State Nurse of Distinction award winner, she held previous management positions at Eastern Niagara Hospital's Lockport site, Western New York Immediate Care and as director of nursing at Buffalo General Medical Center, leading and overseeing several medical and surgical inpatient nursing units as well as other responsibilities.
In her new position at Memorial, DeCalro will oversees all activities and tasks needed to maintain a desired level of excellence including patient care and relations, Joint Commission: Accreditation, Health Care, Certification compliance, risk management and safety, performance improvement, and infection control; plus develop strategic plans and policies for improved quality throughout the hospital; and work with top management to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
