By Mike Hudson

JULY 14, 2015

Anthony Brinson was charged with:
Burglary 2nd Degree - C Felony
Attempted Rape 1st - C Felony
Attempted Criminal Sexual Act 1st Degree- C Felony
Unlawful Imprisonment 1st Degree - E Felony
Obstructing of Breathing - A Misdemeanor

Anthony Brinson, 59, of 1031 Niagara Ave., is a piece of garbage, a human monster who could well serve as a poster boy for what the city of Niagara Falls is becoming. A welfare recipient and career petty criminal, Brinson’s lack of basic human decency is almost undone by his monumental stupidity.

Last week, he broke into a Niagara Falls home and attempted to rape and sodomize a 67-year-old woman who lived there. After choking her, police said, he attempted to rape her vaginally and anally but was unable to do so. Finally, he masturbated in front of her

At one point the victim asked to go to the bathroom and was allowed. When she was brought back into her bedroom, she noticed two cards with magnetic strips facing up, on her floor. The victim kicked them under her bed.

Brinson continued his attempts and at one point told the victim he had no choice but to kill her and asked how she felt about dying. The victim says Brinson masturbated a second time while he had his back to her and then immediately left the house.

The victim called police and was transported to NFMMC for evaluation.

While Detectives were collecting potential evidence from the scene, they noticed under the bed was a NYS Benefit Card and Master Card with Brinson's name on them. The benefit card also had his photo.

He was picked up shortly afterward and charged with burglary in the 2dn degree, attempted rape in the first degree, attempted criminal sexual act in the first degree – all Class C felonies – Unlawful imprisonment and obstruction of breathing.

Brinson has no fewer than 10 previous arrests, the most recent being in April 2014 when he attempted to snatch a woman’s purse at the Earl Brydges Public Library on Main Street.

As one of our police contacts wrote to us explaining the sentencing:

Breaking into someone's house ----- 3 to 15 years in prison.

Attempted Rape and Criminal Sexual Act --- 3 1/2 to 15 years in prison for each count.

Leaving your Benefit Card and Master Card behind for the cops to find ----- Priceless.
