Wizard of Oz Concert: Live music, Live Acting and Movie At Palace Theater in Lockport, Sept 27-28

The Historic Palace Theater will present a live concert based on the 1939 movie the Wizard of Oz on Sat-Sun Sept 27-28.

The Historic Palace Theatre and Curtain Up! Productions will present The Wizard of Oz: Live in Concert!, on Saturday night September 27th at 7:30 pm and Sunday afternoon September 28th at 3:00 pm .

The show includes live acting, a movie and a concert based on the 1939 MGM Film The Wizard of Oz.

Under the baton of David Stacey, the Lockport Community band will play the film score, and its songs written by E.Y. Harburg (lyrics) and Harold Arlen (music), including "Somewhere over the Rainbow," "We're off to See the Wizard" and others.

On stage, Kelly Ersing is Dorothy Gale, Robby Syruws is the Scarecrow, Marc Krzystek is the Tin Man, William Curr is the Cowardly Lion, Katie Merrill is Glinda and Kathy Dewey is the Wicked Witch of the West. There is an ensemble cast of over 30.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for seniors, and $15 for students. Group rates available and may be purchased by calling (716) 438-1130, or at the Palace Theatre Box Office. 2 East Ave, Lockport.
