Reporter is for the Dogs

Your article about the Islamic Center coming to Wheatfield is pure drivel. The fact that you had published about Rob O’Toole being transgender. That has nothing to do with Islam or him being the attorney for Wheatfield. You had two people in there that you had no right to include them. Your paper is like teaching dogs where to take a cr*p.

Five Prostitutes

Thank you for your non-judgmental story about the prostitutes. I read the Reporter because I grew up in Niagara Falls. I am now an elderly lady.

Best wishes to those girls.

John Pauly’s Hatred of Cats

By admitting that he shoots cats, John Pauly is admitting that he is breaking the law. He is also placing himself at risk for some street justice from any of his neighbors who may be missing their pet. Mr. Pauly, you have opened the door to a dangerous situation. How would you respond if someone shot your dog? Any animal cruelty is despicable and should be prosecuted under the appropriate statutes.

Your Servant In Christ,

I have one great political idea. . . . That idea is an old one…..The best expression of it, I have found in the Bible. "Righteousness exalteth a nation; sin is a reproach to any people" [Proverbs 14:34]. This constitutes my politics - the negative and positive of my politics, and the whole of my politics. . . . I feel it my duty to do all in my power to infuse this idea into the public mind, that it may speedily be recognized and practiced upon by our people. ~ Frederick Douglass. Thanks Gary

Dear Gary DiLaura;

Thanks a lot for the article on Ebola and religious groups. I prayerfully hope these leaders of the USA, and people, especially the sleeping TV news media, wake up to the danger of radical US so-called statesman, White House leaders.

Sometime ago I heard about the internment camps with barb wire fences. Please keep up your good work. Again thanks for your patriotism.

Lewiston Employees Take Brochey to Task, Compare Him to Bogart as Captain Queeg

Humphrey Bogart as Captain Queeg in the Caine Mutiny.

Just want to update you on our report card sent to Supervisor Brochey and the copy sent to you.

Mr. Brochey has distributed copies of the letter and is trying to find out who wrote it. What he should understand is that all of us wrote it.

Contained in that letter is what most town of Lewiston employees feel is true and accurate. Some are making copies and distributing them further as the letter lifts their spirits, especially those who received pay and health care cuts without warning. Others are using it as a justification for the upcoming unionization of town hall.

Trying to find the sender is beginning to make Brochey look a bit silly. Some are now referring to Brochey as Captain Qweeg looking for whoever stole the strawberries in the film "The Caine Mutiny."

Here is the letter, please publish it;

Dear Supervisor Dennis Brochey,

As all Lewiston employees approach your first year in office we would like to give some of our thoughts and a report card.

You will be remembered as the supervisor that hated all town employees. You have paid thousands of taxpayer dollars to your lawyers and accountants to wage war on your own employees. We happen to be your neighbors.

You don't believe we are worthy of living the way you live.

You had no problem charging us $90 per hour plus inflated parts cost when we had to bring our vehicles in to your shop for repairs on Center Street in Lewiston.

When you look at your utility and tax bills you believe no one should be doing as well as you did at your repair shop.

We, your neighbors that you are attacking, are the ones that keep your power on, the ones that keep your phone on, the ones that keep your streets and home safe, the ones that teach your children and clean your school, the ones that keep your town and municipalities running.

We are the people that keep your cable and satellite on, the ones that keep your water and sewers working, the ones that plow and maintain clean roads and streets, the ones that assist the poor and disabled.

Not all of us had the acumen to run our own business and we did not elect you to slash and burn everything we ever worked for.

We wish to have some semblance of life in America, not the Third World you think we should live in.

Everyone is aware of you trying to cook the Lewiston town books and proclaiming the town is broke when sales taxes are on the rise after pulling out of the recession.

Using bonds for larger projects is the way things are done here in America and the world.

To blame town employees for the way you want to use cash up front is wrong. The damage you are doing will be long lasting as we at town hall are now turning to a union to represent us out of the fear you have brought us.

Now that you mention it, there is a resemblance between Humphrey Bogart and Dennis Brochey .

Do you really represent our Democratic Party?

Lewiston Employees

Brochey responded, Lewiston just doesn’t have the money to give them a three percent raise. Everybody else, in other towns, are getting one to two percent increases. The cost of living was 1.5 percent. I’m not taking a raise!

Brochey also wanted to announce that Tuesday is his 42nd wedding anniversary to his lovely wife Cathy!.

Maziarz for Governor?

I do not believe we have seen the last of George Maziarz. He has a large "war chest" and he may have resigned to prepare in running for Governor in the next round. Mark my word.
