Message from the Councilman
Modern Disposal Plan Needed Approval but More Study is Needed

I think the City of Niagara Falls is moving in the right direction with its new garbage collection and recycling program, As Chairman of the Niagara Falls City Council in 2013 I gave the current Administration the ok to extend the current garbage contract for an additional 3 months so a recycling and refuse program could be researched and put in place. There were many legit question and concerns from tax payers last night at the Council meeting.

I think the administration should have done more research of many surrounding communities and found out what worked and what did not work before they put it on the agenda. With the current garbage contract ending on May 1st the Niagara Falls City Council had no choice but to vote for the new contract. I hope the Administration, the City Council and Modern Disposal will work hand in hand for any changes that might be needed to make this program successful for the City of Niagara Falls and for its citizens.
