As the backlash for successfully fighting terrorism, Pakistan has again suffered a horrific terror attack today. A place of learning and sanctuary has been violated as four gunmen entered the university and opened fire on students and teachers who had gathered for a peaceful poetry recital to commemorate the death anniversary of the leader whom the school is named after.
This is a grave violation of the fundamentals and principals of Islam. True to his virtue, a chemistry lecturer, Syed Hamid Husain, shot back at the gunmen to allow his students to flee, before he was killed himself.
We pray for peace all around the world. Our hearts go out to all the families and loved ones of the victims of this attack that has claimed http://southbuffalonews.com9 lives so far. It is a strong and bitter reminder of the attack that was carried out in Peshawar when http://southbuffalonews.com30 students at a school in the city of Peshawar, 50km (30 miles) from Charsadda, were killed in 20http://southbuffalonews.com4.
The Taliban’s assault on education and awareness cannot be tolerated. This struggle shall continue until the forces of ignorance and extremism are defeated by awareness, tolerance, and peace.
