A third candidate has announced their intention to run for one of three seats on the Niagara Falls City Council.

Traci Bax, of Niagara Falls, is running for a seat on the City Council and to be a “voice on key issues” for the city.

Bax released the following welcome message via social media on Sunday, January 10th, 2021:

I was born and raised in Niagara Falls. My family is from here and many still live in the city today.  I’ve seen and experienced the transformation to our community, some good and much not.  I’m a taxpayer like you and I care how our money is spent.

I have over 25 years of experience as a successful strategic business leader with AAA Western and Central New York. In my current position as AVP of Travel Operations for the company, managing multi-million dollar budgets efficiently and effectively is a core skill I will bring to the role as a city councilwoman.

I place a high value on community safety, quality educational experiences, entrepreneurial opportunities for big and small businesses, and essential services needed for our residents.  The bottom line is that I love this city and I know that now is the time for me to take a bigger role for us all.

You will find very quickly that I am a collaborative leader that asks questions and challenges the status quo to make things better.  We can ‘move the chains downfield’ and accomplish more working together in government on common goals for Niagara Falls than not doing so.

I hold myself and others accountable daily to the job, expectations and results needed.  I am ready to represent you, and my family, on our Niagara Falls City Council.
