Two outstanding summer concerts are on tap beginning this Saturday, July 11, at the Public House on the Lake in Hamburg followed two weeks later on Saturday, July 25, at Marge’s Lakeside Inn in Irondequoit, famous for its casual “dive bar” atmosphere.
In both concerts, the featured attraction, and a good one, is the rock band SoleTurn out of Hamburg, known for new and re-imagined rock music led by lead vocalist Vik Bhargava, a creative artist of the first order.
SoleTurn is unique and lots of fun and is also known for a strong audience connection which has concert-goers staying right through to the end of the musical entertainment. It is truly a night of super creative rock sounds and if you catch their show, you will understand why they connect so well with their audiences.
At the Public House show on Saturday, July 11, on Lakeshore Rd., beginning at 7 p.m., Vik will be joined by Zachary Michael, co-lead vocalist and super songwriter, along with Patrick Mudd-keys, and Robert Helms, drums.
It is a streamlined group dedicated to music and giving audiences a great night of super-creative songs. The lake setting at this time of year should be a perfect venue for the SoleTurn gang to give folks on hand a night of great fun and entertainment.
Two weeks later, at Marge’s Lakeside Inn beginning at 6 p. m., Vik and Zach whose great aunt is the one who opened it up and is the original Marge, will be joined on stage by outstanding guitarist Vince Parlato, and Stephen Lattimore on drums.
I’ve written a lot about SoleTurn in the last few years, including their sold-out show at the Caz in May of last year for the release of their debut album “Soundtrack of Our Youth.”
The group is known for its dynamic fusion of British rock, synth-pop, and electronica.
Marge’s Inn is recognized for its summer concerts, beachfront patio, and a history dating back to the Prohibition era and is an extremely popular spot for locals, with a lively crowd and a focus on outdoor entertainment.
There you have it. Two super upcoming concerts just two weeks apart. I highly recommend SoleTurn as a group worth seeing.
