So I literally just waddled out of “The Marketside Restaurant” located at 714 East Market Street in Niagara Falls.
A lot of you know this already, but Marketside is definitely a Niagara Falls staple and has been here forever. If you are a local I have no doubt you will see someone you know in there.
Mike, the owner, is one of the friendliest and kindest people I have ever met in my life. He greets each and every customer and checks on them during their meals. I have even seen him walk around and hand all of the children dollar bills. Just an all-around good guy.
We were greeted and seated by my long lost best friend Kristen (who I hardly have seen since high school). See! Didn’t I just say you would run into someone you know?
On to the food!
So as of this moment I sincerely have not had a more delicious or fresher breakfast (and I am not fibbing!).
I had a single slice of French toast with fruit. The toast itself was thick cooked perfectly with cinnamon and dusted with powdered sugar. It also came with fresh cut fruit; plump blueberries, sweet strawberries and bananas toppled over the French toast. Perfect!
I also had the “Sal Maglie” with everything. It was filled with sausage, bacon, hot peppers, green peppers, mushrooms, ham, spinach, potatoes, and cheese. In all honesty I’m probably leaving something out but it’s a long list.
The vegetables, just like the fruit, were crisp, fresh, crunchy and perfectly cut. I have no other words but SUBERB!
Mandy had the two eggs, home fries and toast. The eggs were cooked just right and the potatoes were the best; crisp outside with a tender inside seasoned just right with a side of Italian toast.
She also had two chocolate chip pancakes that she couldn’t even finish. She soon proclaimed that these were the best pancakes EVER and I seconded that proclamation.
Mike’s restaurant is jam packed from the moment it opens at 7:30 to close at 12:00pm; or 12:30pm on Sundays.
Stop in, give it a try, and don’t forget to tell Mike and Kristen Jamie sent you!!
